Our porcelain veneers are lightweight, carefully shaped thin layers of porcelain (or composite) placed over your teeth’ front surface. Porcelain veneers have the power to change the colour, shape and even the position of your teeth.
Our thinnest porcelain option is Lumineers, which are 0.2mm thick and thus only require 0.2mm of enamel removal – the size of a contact lens.
The same can be said for conventional veneers, typically 0.5mm thick, which only require 0.5mm of etching – the size of a false nail.
So patients should not expect what’s been popularised on social media, where teeth have been filed down to stubs – this isn’t traditional veneer treatment.
