A dental bridge comprises prosthetic replacement teeth, with a crown on both ends anchoring onto the natural teeth on each side of the gap.
A dental bridge offers a permanent solution for missing teeth. Unlike dental implants, bridges can replace missing teeth without surgery. And with porcelain finishes available, no one will even be able to tell the difference.
A dental bridge can boost your confidence and make daily activities such as eating and talking easier. Replacing a missing tooth can also help protect your remaining teeth. When you have gaps, remaining teeth may lean over or move into the space, affecting how you bite. Food can also get trapped in spaces, increasing your risk of tooth decay.
Dental bridges invest in your confidence, quality of life and oral health.
After your dental bridge fitting, your dentist will administer a local anaesthetic and reshape your anchor teeth to accommodate the crowns.
Once your anchor teeth are prepared, the dentist will take an impression of the area and send it to a specialist laboratory.
Alternatively, if you opt for a same-day bridge, they will take a digital scan and transfer the data to our CEREC® machine.

“I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you to Dr Rahul and Nicole. I was in yesterday and am over the moon with my new teeth. Dr Rahul listened to exactly what I wanted and I couldn’t be happier. Nicole and Rahul were so kind and reassuring💕 I would recommend them to anyone.” Tia, RH19
When your dental bridge is ready, your dentist will place it into the gap. And the crowns are sitting over your prepared anchor teeth. After checking for a proper fit and colour match, they will seal it in place permanently.
After your bridge has been fitted, there may be some soreness from the gum or slight sensitivity to hot and cold food and drinks.
You may also feel strange; don’t worry, you’ll get used to it. It’s just where there hasn’t been a tooth there previously.
However, these issues should pass within a few days. Occasionally, new teeth might feel a little high when you bite together.
Your dentist can make alterations to correct minor problems like this in follow-up appointments.
No need to remove them! What a relief. Bridges are fixed in place, but to keep your natural teeth healthy, you must clean the gap under a bridge with a special dental floss. Your dentist or hygienist will show you how to floss under your bridge.
