Replace a Single Lost Tooth with Amazing Implant Dentists in Sussex

  • Tooth knocked out or impacted by trauma?
  • Lost a tooth to infection or heavy decay?
  • Just had a tooth extracted?

A dental implant will be your best option to replace a single lost tooth, whether you lost it to decay, gum disease, or injury.

Dental implants can last a lifetime and are the closest replica to natural teeth that prosthetic dentistry can offer.

A single dental implant at The Smile Gallery in East Grinstead will cost £1,995 – with the option to spread the cost over 12 (0% interest), 24, 36, 48 and 60 months.

The best place to start is a dental implant consultation, which costs £120 but is redeemable from your final treatment bill if you decide to pursue the surgery.

Dr. Esen and Olivia were extremely gentle on me. I'm a big baby! Dr. Esen numbed my gum and I felt nothing more while she filled the upper tooth. Thank you.

A colleague of mine recommended this brilliant team 👏 😀 that I can only speak highly of when it comes to their professionalism and dedication. I happen to live quite far BUT that honestly is all worth it. Dr Rahul & Dr Jaime ABSOLUTELY THE BEST 👏 👌 I know it's going to be a long journey for me but having such wonderful team will make the process less stressful. I can't thank them enough for being ever so patient, also the ever so lovely receptists whomno matter how busy they are they always welcome you with such warmth. Huge thanks for making a difference to those of us that in a way left it a bit "too late" going to the dentist.

Dental implants in a nutshell

Dental implants are incredible devices that replace missing teeth in a way that replicates natural, existing teeth. See all solutions.

Constructed from titanium, the dental implant is highly durable with superior strength and fuses to your jawbone to act like a natural tooth root would.

“I visited here yesterday for a free implant consultation with Rahul. It was very relaxed, and I felt I could discuss my needs. I will be back in January for full assessment and x-rays and hope to continue my implant journey with smile gallery.” Jackie, Tunbridge Wells

How a dental implant will work

Your implant is made up of three parts:

  1. The implant – which is positioned carefully into the jaw.
  2. The abutment – an attachment which connects the implant to the final restoration.
  3. The crown – made from porcelain and designed to match existing teeth is attached to the abutment.

Dental implants get their superior strength by physically integrating with the jaw bone, making them a permanent attachment that has a rare likelihood of ever moving.

As the implant acts like an artificial tooth root, patients can benefit further as it will preserve the bone in the jaw, preventing it from breaking down.

Placing a single implant

The surgery itself is relatively simple and completed in an hour.

Sedation options are available for particularly anxious patients, who, under IV sedation, will remain completely conscious but have no memory of the procedure.

How long for a restored smile?

After the implant is placed, patients must wait for the implant to fully fuse with the bone, which can take up to three months with a healing process called osseointegration. Once this period has passed, the final restoration, typically a crown, is screwed on tight, and you’re ready to go.

All the reasons to get a single implant

  • Lasts 30 years or more.
  • The most durable, stable device on the market.
  • Superior strength able to withstand strong biting forces.
  • Preserves vital bone structure in the jaw.
  • Encourages and promotes good oral health.
  • A permanent solution to tooth loss that never slips out of place.
  • Life-like, natural aesthetics that mimic neighbouring teeth.

*To be a candidate for single implants, you must have healthy gums, adequate bone in the jaw, and strong oral hygiene habits.

Alternatives to single implants

  1. A dental bridge (from £950) can replace a missing tooth if healthy teeth exist on either side of the gap. However, these teeth must be filed down and replaced with crowns for this procedure to work.
  2. Partial dentures (from £425) are the cheapest option for single-tooth loss. However, they have some downsides, such as needing frequent replacement or repairs, relying on metal clasps and encouraging bone loss, which can cause further tooth loss.

Patients with missing teeth choose The Smile Gallery

Book a consultation for a single implant

Meet directly with our implant dentist to discover if you qualify for the procedure with a CBCT scan and a full assessment of the bone quality in your jaw.

From here, we can also examine your oral health and see if a dental implant is your next step.

The implant consultation with the dentist is charged at £120, which is deducted from your treatment if you decide to go ahead – this is because you’re meeting with our in-demand implant dentist, who will perform all the necessary checks that ensure you’re ready to go ahead.

Or call our practice on St James Road, East Grinstead, on 01342 321 094 to organise your consultation.
